2009 Kelly Foursomes
Walmer Country Club entered
three teams in the Kelly foursomes that took place
during the weekend of the 24th of October and
managed to win all three leagues!! The teams
that participated were as follows:
|
Premier
League |
|
Karl du Preez |
Ryno Ferreira |
Mziyanda Zingela |
Patrick Toyti |
|
1st League |
|
Joe Wood |
Gary Smith |
Wynand Wessels |
Shaun porter |
|
3rd League |
|
Mike Duff |
Les Barnard |
David Koen |
Rodger lackey |
The premier league side
did not start well on Saturday
morning by loosing one game and halving the other.
From there it was catch-up! On Saturday
afternoon they halved one match and won the other
but on Sunday they won everything! They had to
rely on Swartenbosch beating Humewood A for them to
win on a games count-out! A win is a win!
In stark
contrast, the 1st league side dominated the
proceeding by winning all their matches and hence
finishing with a full-house. Well done to all
the players!

Premier League Winners: fltr Patrick Toyti, Ryno
Ferreira, Karl du Preez, Mzyanda Zingela

1st League Winners: fltr Gary
Smith, Shaun Porter, Joe Wood, Wynand Wessels
